Ramblings

I'm obsessed with American Idol. I blame this new obsession on Karin Tabke. (Thanks a lot, Karin.) My husband thinks I'm nuts, although he watched it with me last night. It's so hard not to cringe during this first round. I know I should stop watching, I just can't. It's like a train wreck. And as much as I hate Simon Cowell, I can't wait to see what horrendous words will spew out of his mouth or what ludicrous expressions he'll make next. I'm sick, I tell you.

Actually, I really am sick. Some flu-like thing. Maybe that's where the AI obsessession came from. Perhaps it will pass? One can hope. I'm feeling a lot better today, so hopefully I'm on the upswing.

Got news yesterday my brother and his wife (and their baby) are moving to upstate NY next summer. My SIL took a teaching position with a college there. I'm soooo thrilled for them! Although it's on the other side of the country and I'll miss them terribly. However, visiting should be fun...as long as it's not winter. The weather report said it's like -10 there right now. Brrrrr.

I started a 10-pg a day challenge at Romance Worth Killing For. If you missed it, go look. We have a couple of takers. I was doing really well until I got sick. Yesterday I did nothing - just laid around and vegged, but today I hope to dive right back to work. Wish me luck. If you want to join us, go on over and respond to the post.

Oh, and speaking of RWKF...we have some really exciting things happening over there in the month of February. Big changes. So be sure to come by. There will be prizes! And new bloggers! And fun, fun, fun, so don't miss it.
What have you been up to lately?

No wonder you've been scarce! I've been looking for you! Hope you're feeling better. I think the 10pg challenge rules delineate some type of loophole for grave illness. I'll write you a note if you need one. :-) But only one day off! **whip crack** Get back on the horse, missy.

I am, thanks, J.

12 pgs today while the boys were napping. I'll take that!

I hope you're 100% very soon!

As for me, there has been NO writing for weeks. I just keep playing around with my updated blog and new blog name (not Christine Keach anymore). Hopefully things will change on the writing front since I got a burst of inspiration today.

10 pages are great for having the flu! Even for not having the flu.

I'm revising, so my progress is weird. I'm cutting a lot and keeping about half, writing new pages to fit the rest. It's like putting together a puzzle.

I'll check out your other blog now.

Lexi! I wondered where you'd gone. The last time I tried your blog link, it wasn't working. I'll have to go update the link. Thanks for stopping by. And glad to hear you got a burst of inspiration.

Ugh, Edie. My thoughts are with you during this trying revision process.

Actually, I prefer revisions to first drafts, but then I tend to "revise as I go" so first drafts are long grueling processes for me.

Thanks, btw...feeling lots better today.

Did you catch what Becky and I had/have??

I'm an AI watcher. It makes me so mad when they start whining and cussing. Sheesh, if some of those people had half a brain they'd know they stink. I can't believe they waste people's time then whine!

I haven't taken the time to check out the RWKF blog. I'll have to pop over there.

Get well!

I've looked at your other blog too, Eli. Love the design. Good job.

How are the 10 a day going?

My monthtowrite group is doing a novel in 90 days. I'm doing revisions in 60 though. Don't want to start anything new right now.

My DH has the flu. He's home for the second day in a row. Really sick.

I love Simon Cowell. I don't know why. I think he's totally sexy too. Again, I don't know why. And he's always right. Because he's smart. That's why.

Sorry you've been sick. I feel for ya as I had that horrid Norovirus for over 5 days then got some laryngitis crap and couldn't talk for 4 days. Today, January 31st, I'm almost normal, just a bit of a cough now and then. ;)

10 pages a day is a great goal. And don't worry if you can't always get in 10 pages. It's all good, no matter what you accomplish.

I'm off to check out RWKF now that you've peaked my nosiness.

Sympathies to you, Danita, on the sick DH. Hope he's feeling better soon.

The 10 pgs a day is going well. Might slow now as I've taken a detour to revise something for my agent. (There's always something, isn't there?) Good luck on the revisions.

Glad you're feeling better, Piper.

And you probably like Simon because he's British.
